Bush displayed frightening character faults

I caught the end of Charlie Rose last night with Woodward as guest. They were summing up. Woodward said that he graduated from College at the Start of Vietnam. That nobody at that time had any idea of what was going on in the upper reaches of the Johnson Administration. That we now know from the tapes that Johnson did not believe we could win but did not know what to do. He was full of self doubt.

Woodward said that it was incredible to see how "In Command" and relaxed Bush was during this last year. That Bush knew what he wanted done, and was almost "Table Pounding" about making it happen. That Bush was able to "Play Off" his top people to put all options on the table and make sure he had the best info available.

Woodward has been "Inside" every Administration since Nixon. He is certainly not a "Hack" who is sucking up to these people.

I did not have any more use for Bush after he got elected than I did for Gore. The Environmental issue pushed me into his camp. Since 911 I got behind him because it was the only thing to do. This pounding from the left that Bush was an "Idiot" had me half-way convinced also.

Not any longer! We have a damn good leader here. So when I see the same old crud that the left is peddling about Bush, I get disgusted, but I don't let it bother me.

I can understand people who do not like him, or agree with what he is doing. But we know, from the inside, that he believes in what he is doing, and believes it is for the best. No "Hidden" reasons here. No "Big Oil," "Cheney and his gang," etc.
