additionally .. the pre '29 run up was much smaller than the pre 2000 run up on a percentage basis ..

Alot of things have changed since then however.Liquidity is much larger.Household income from then to now can really not be compared.Productivity is still rising this time.Alot of checks and balances have been added.I'm open to your mirror image of that period but see it as unlikely.Keep an open mind.The economy is so much larger and there is also the lesson we learned from that time period.I personally believe even our enemies respect the power of the dollar.Damned if they don't prefer it over their own currency thruout the world.Would you rather trust the euro,yen or greenback?Your choice.
