I obviously don't know what's fair. But there is that saying, when you're in a hole, the first thing is to quit digging. Seems to me like the Arabs ought to quit digging, as they've apparently lost ground (literally) at every turn.

Huh? Its the Israelis who are digging the proverbial hole. The Israelis have everything to lose; the Palestinians have very little.
