At least he tried and came damn close by the way

Came close to WHAT? Surely you aren't so naive as to think CLINTON almost brought these parties to the end of this 50 year old conflict?

Bsh is not even trying. In fact he is so lopsided on Israel's side that he embitters Arabs further and makes the solution more elusive.

This is a ridiculous statement. Bush is using common sense, i.e., there can be no agreement, not even any DISCUSSIONS about agreement, so long as the Palestinians are murdering innocent children.

Both sides. Blame games and eye for an eye will never solve the problem. Look at Ireland.

I knew that was coming. We'll see if it holds. I'm not sure how directly comparable the situations are.

As to "who is conducting the violence", your answer is not true. Both sides ARE not conducting the violence at this time; one side is CLEARLY defending itself from the other. You want to resolve matters as they were 50 years ago, hell, this conflict is where it is today and that is the starting point for any resolution. And as of today, the Palestinians are killing innocent Israelis, and the the Israelis are acting in self defense.
