LOL! I just called the ATF and asked them. (pinch me...)

Well, they said they only work with actual devices and not hoaxes and the numbers for this year, Jan. 1 thu today, are (I was typing this in while but I think it is right):

Total devices reported to the ATF this year: 571
Actual bombings reported to the ATF this year: 287
Incendiary detonations reported to the ATF this year: 86
Attempted incendiary bombings reported to the ATF this year: 30
Premature detonations reported to the ATF this year: 22

This includes a wide variety of incidents from arson to kids making bombs. Many local incidents (like kids taking a bomb to school) are not reported to the ATF and my source suggested I call the FBI for info on those...
