Amazing.

The book value has slight relevance. But the bottom line is the consensus 2002 projection of what the remaining interest would bring.

Projections of a partial sale in 1991? Well..... worthless, in any analysis.

Anybody have a feel for the worth of Elan diagnostics, which is a separate business unit? That's on the chop-block as well. Sales of both units for 2001 were $57.3 mil, but it wasn't broken out. I have a feeling the bulk of revs were from Athena and that there's not a lot of value in the second unit, but I'm only guessing...
