Ruling out science, knowledge and education, in the discoveries of "self evident truths", and relying substantially on pragmatism, or fantasy, leaves you with what great discoveries? How do you prove the eternal? How do you prove the existence of a soul? Is it there just because you feel it is there, just because you feel a soul is self evident? ===> "There are many kinds of evidence to forces both seen and unseen that are not explained by scientific proof." True. But, the quest is to prove or disprove these forces scientifically. It's one thing to prove that something exists, for which we cannot explain with science. It's another thing to prove that the existence can or cannot exist in a scientific world. ===> "Scientific proof after all is really not absolute proof any way." Tisk, tisk, tisk...... quite a generalization. In our physical world, science is the basis for much of what we do. If you go beyond our physical world, you enter the realm of the supernatural, where you can dream up any "self evident truths" that you desire. You want two souls? Puff! You've got it! You want an eternity floating on a cloud listening to half demented lecturers preaching abstinence in Heaven, Puff! You've got it. ===> "You don't actually have proof of anything Robert." Puff! I've got it.
