The Royal Rats, an update---

After 30 trading days the Royal Rats are up, as a group, 86%
I am sure most posters here have done much better in their ports than that, hectically trading, but for those of us who have not the details are:

A Royal Rat is:
1. A member of the S&P 500 with:
2. Highest beta
3. Most Shorted
4. Lowest price

Details:
AES +22.9%
AMD +82.4%
AMR +107%
AV +109.4%
AWE +94.3%
CPN +63.1%
GTW +14.7%
LU +160.3%
MIR +63%
PCS +136.5%
PMCS +146.1%
PWER +70.1%
SLR +143.9%
XRX +63.3%

This is during period 11 Oct 02 closing price to 22 Nov 02 closing price, 6 weeks, 30 trading days--why successful?
Apparently because mutual funds tied in part or as a whole to S&P 500 Index MUST buy them to equitize their holdings --the one who came up with this predicted these stocks would double and in some instances triple between 11 Oct and some time in Jan, 2003.

Should acknowledge that Ratdogman opined Royal Rat PCS would go to $5 when it was $2.52 a few weeks back and it is now $5.25
