Thanks, now I understand your interpretations/definitions.

Heres a question : Christianity has various "sects" : Catholics, Protestants (of various flavors). Why can't Islam have similar sects ? Barring of course discussion on the few that want to wipe out the world.

Moving from religion, to politics : Pakistan in some instances does use Sharia.

Saudi Arabia is has made its own devils bargain with Islamism...

Since some people never tire of brandishing the demographics card concerning Israel (not to mention the "runt state" status, though I'd like to know what Bahrain or Qatar are then), my understanding is that the Saudis (let's say, the what the French would call les Saoudiens de souche) are in a far greater minority in their society than Jews in Israel. In fact, I'd hazard a guess that the immigrant workers, spanning the spectrum from de facto slave workers from the Philippines to the educated technical support personnel from Pakistan, etc, who are all essential to the functioning of the society outnumber the Saudis. The official numbers are already very elevated, something like 35 - 40 % of the population is non national, but it's much more likely over 50 % in reality.

That "devil's bargain" is one of the main toothpicks propping up that society.
