can keep the heat on the government by voting tax and spend liberals out of office at every opportunity. You're 1/2-right. We must vote the spenders out of office. But the fact is that the GOP of the past 24 years have consistently been the biggest spenders, by far. As much fun as it is to be partisan, the cold hard truth is there isn't an overspending program or a budgetary lie in which both parties aren't complicit. Just cutting taxes to gain votes and hoping that the massive spending will not have future consequences is popular fantasy with politicians, and most voters fall for it.
