How about this? From DNC web site. Could get Republicans bad press:
The Republican Holiday Gift to Laid-Off Workers: NOTHING

After giving special interests big gifts in the homeland security bill, Republicans in Congress have revealed their holiday gift to Americans hit hardest by the recession: nothing. More than 800,000 Americans will lose their unemployment benefits just three days after Christmas if President Bush and the Republicans in Congress decide not to extend unemployment benefits in this time of recession.

Democratic Leaders Senator Tom Daschle and Congressman Dick Gephardt are fighting for an unemployment benefit extension, urging Bush in a letter to throw his support behind such a measure. The House has the opportunity to approve an extension, already passed by the Democratic Senate, when it meets to pass changes to the homeland security bill.
