(1)Let's see if aj99 agrees with 42 others on the direction of the market?
(2)The 42 others will be the 3LB charts (Current Trends)
of 42 Fidelity Select Funds.
(3)As these different sectors of the market become short term bullish or bearish,
we will add up the totals and see what the 42 votes are.
(4)More later this weekend.

Here's a nice example from last year where we sold the 200 SMA initially at 1934, dropped and held the 13EMA, then rose up and took it out Dec. 5, 2001.

We dropped back, held the 200SMA, rose up, then breached it intra day, then made our double top in January:

stockcharts.com[h,a]daclyyay[d20011023,20020123][pb20!b50!b200!c13!c20!c50!i!d20,2!c200!f][vc60][iUb14!La12,26,9!Lg!Li10,10!Lh5,5!Lp14,3,3!Ll14][J6998700,Y]&pref=G

Prior to last Dec, we'd been under the 200SMA since Sept. 2000.

I think it is also important to note the position of the 200SMA with respect to the Bollinger Bands. The BB's in many instances have more influence than the 200SMA.

Another issue is the removal of a bunch of dogs from the ndx 100 the first week of dec. I have the list of assumed removals. A bunch of them have really moved a ton. They should get hit after this Friday.(You guys all know there is a huge upward bias the day before Thanksgiving and the day after, mind you its eom)

Can you list those stocks.

Thanks
