Lol!

Maybe ahhahaha works partime as a magician's rabbit, and vanishing into thin air is part of the act.

The Great Reckoning, a 1994 book by James Dale Davidson and Lord Rees-Mogg first got me thinking about the possibility of deflation. As I recall, derivatives and unfunded government liabilities were among the items that had them worried. It's been a while since I read it, and I'm not sure of the particulars anymore. What did intrigue me was their argument that the Fed would be unable to halt a true deflation, that it would simply have to run its course.
