Thanks for the numerical assistance Kyros. I wondered about that inflation adjustment but it got too hard for me and I had thought the raw numbers were evidence enough that there had been a dramatic price reduction from the days of 'carless days' which we had in Kiwiland. People were allowed to drive their cars every second day - truly!!! What's amazing is that We the Sheople just accepted it, like lambs to the slaughter. No wonder the economies improved as all that nonsense went away as the 1980s wore on. Mqurice
