(Lazarus_Long) Having followed the path of the secure computer, I have been exposed to the information that now available is a computer that truly is bullet proof . A computer that by its very nature can not get a virus, can not get a worm can not be impregnated by spyware. Runs on intel if you wish it. I have these available now. Our focus will be into the Corp. environment JB To: Lazarus_Long who wrote (14175)11/24/2002 2:17:34 AMFrom: autocardRead Replies (1) of 54031 Mr. Long You ask me to respond in a year, as to, if the New Mac interface in BSD Unix will work for me. The answer is - it is fine. In case you forget what I am referring to - I have posted your comments below. And if, in case you have not had the honor of working on a new Mac, in a few months Apple will have a 4600 Sq foot store open in the Temple of Bellevue just two miles from the home of the Gates of Redmond. Go to the Mall and try out a computer that you can run for a few days with out constant rebooting and it won't blow it's browser out of the water when you view a simple chart on the internet. BTW that was a real nice chart JB :-) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ autocard, Gimme a break! How many of those secretaries using Macs do you think have ever HEARD of an operating system kernel, much less could make one do anything? Using a BSD kernel means nothing to a user. UNIX? UNIX is simple, self-descriptive commands like car, grep, ls...... THAT'S UNIX. Not a nice drag-and-drop user interface that any twit can learn in 15 minutes. By all of the negative comments that I have heard in the MS dominated Press (here in Seattle) It looks like a great 5 years ahead for Apple once again. You wish. I'll bet 5 years from now Apple will still be sitting there nwith 5% of the market. Their management is too DUMB to handle success. If they were smart, they would have killed Microsoft as soon as it got started; instead they let them conquer the world. If you use the Unix system and like (as you inferred or did I understand you incorrectly) the mac interface I would be honored to hear what your experiences in the year ahead is on the new Mac System. Huh? UNIX ain't Mac, compadre. Thought we already went through that. INTEL RULES! GO INTEL!
