Of course you have a personal vested interest in it. I don't think we can totally understand why you do, although much of it has to do with your need for a cause, but you most certainly do have a personal and vested interest. It is so obvious, I can't believe you just said that. Amazing. Truly. This place is so interesting sometimes. And you are wrong about what I want (Obviously a failure on your part to read between the lines- or in this case, to read what I've actually written on the subject).

My only opposition to Christopher right now is that he wishes to ramrod through a repugnant premise, to wit: that harming others with words is ducky provided there is no physical blood. People have disrupted entire families by online lies and aggression. It is not a matter to be cocky or disdainful about. Granted that Chris is a piker in terms of those whom have shown the way...still, he is not an insignificant piker. But as you say: a sincere expression of remorse would attract a thoughtful regard from most people; at least I would think so... Pretending that people are not "REAL" and cannot be "HURT" (except physically) is a cowards game. Fortunately, the police continue to arrest these people for what they are doing in their sinister online activities. I read about a severe case just the other day where the whole family was traumatized over a couple or three years. Eventually the police caught up to the perpetrator. I hope he does a lot of time.
