Zeev, it seems to me that the statements made in many press releases these days are more subject to more interpretation than ever. TSM is saying business is better than they expected but their expectations are limited for incremental improvement in the not so distant future.

I notice that you expect the SOX could fall to 184?

I could easily believe that could happen if there is not more evidence of a strong fundamental recovery. Of course the market could move higher before it begins even a mild retrenchment. We will have to wait and see.

Zeev,

It's worth noting that a number of players in the field, even the oft-vilified Scott Kulicke, have said in recent months that capacity for high-end fabrication is almost maxed out, while there is excess capacity at the lower end.

If NVDA and ALTR, for example, are ramping high-end product, then this would bode well for those semi-equips who have kept up R&D and stayed at the cutting edge.

One of my favorites, Genus (GGNS) is pushing advanced ALD solutions and seems to have turned the corner. Even lowly KLIC has seen some growing interest in its high-end Maxum bonders, with cutting-edge capabilities and high price tags (and high margins) to boot. Perhaps, even TRKN will get in on the act?
