People need to make a choice what values they agree with. You chose the one percentile choice that people DON'T matter, and that their ideas and feelings are simply there for your entertainment. You should not be surprised that 99% of people despise such frigidity and emotional coldness.

To those with any understanding of human nature, though, it's classic mob behavior. Things people would be ashamed to do individually they do enthusiastically in mobs. Lynchings, whether physical or electronic, are classic examples. Too bad for them that in this case the intended lynchee didn't stand still for it.
