During the last bubble, a generation of greedy Baby-Boomers executives did a last ditch attempt to make lots of bucks while the going was still good since they knew it wouldn't last and there won't be another possibility to have a go at it. Hence Enron, WCOM etc etc.

And they will not be the ones to clear up the mess. The mess post Financial Collapse will be cleared up buy governments nationalizing banks, airlines, public utilities, etc. Heard the rumor about Japan threatening to nationalize the troubled banks? That is a sign of things to come.

Imagine if the Argentine government re-nationalize the oil, telecoms and airlines? Would the populace not elect a president on this platform? I bet they would? Then it will spread like wild fire!
