I used Germany because is the case I know best, but the malaise is everywhere:

To protect the narrow interest of the ones employed, -mainly older people- the young are sacrificed. The young are not allowed to compete and are kept "parked" outside the job market.

As a result, the citizens pay tax to support this scheme but not benefit from a horde of younger people who could provide the society services.

The whole thing about a post-industrial society, which was supposed to be a service society, became the self-service society.

No one to clean the wippers of your car and fuel it. No one to serve you at a table. But they are there parked outside the job market.

More worringly, the best paid want more: Longshoremen USD85.000 a year), air traffic controllers and so it goes.

This is not going to work for much time.
