I hope this attitude is not common among many newcomers to our country who routinely see ethnic / tribal bloodletting, massive loss of life to natural disasters, etc. Discounting the significance of the WTC and misunderstanding our response to it because shit happens all over the rest of the screwed up planet is really alarming to me. The WTC attack was just as significant as the attack on Pearl Harbor. In this case we finally woke up and realized a war has been declared on us.
