My wife sells steel to Ford. They are at 90 days inventory which is 20 days above the high end of what is generally considered acceptable to the domestic makers. The plants are still running full tilt though.

I was at a WMT yesterday, and it was like an LA freeway at rush hour. Could hardly get thru the aisles for all the shoppers- and they said it was worse the day before. The prime christmas shopping season is still ahead. I think this seasons' sales are gonna be pretty darn good- but who knows.

Would think the local highs should have come last week, with the full moon, but it was more of a low. We may just keep plodding on up- Thanksgiving week is typically bullish.

Interest rates are near historical lows- but they are beginning to establish a rising trend. Bad for bonds, but good for stocks, as all the sheep start selling their bonds and moving to stocks..
