Hi,
The best way to get the AIM principles is to read Robert Lichello's Book. It is a $6.99 paperback. "How to Make $1,000,000 in the stock market automatically" Don't be put off by the title.
A good alternative is Tom Veale's website. Tom has been AIMing since 1987 and has done a lot of good work with AIM including a few modifications. Some Of which I agree with and others which I don't. aim-users.com
Getting to your post. The biggest problem I think we have is communication. You wrote:(remember, they were going down the drain before) To my way of thinking "going down the drain" is disappearing from view. If I felt a company I owned was going down the drain I would definitely get rid of it. I've never felt that way about APCC. Using AIM I have been able to buy the dips and sell the peaks very successfully. When APCC went to 9.50 that wasn't bad, that was good because it gave me an AIM buying opportunity.
