Or maybe we should use our limited power (there are limits even for sole superpowers) to do triage and take care of the worst problem regime first. Doing so may set an example and teach lessons reducing the severity of other regime's abuses.

And there is another consideration with Saddam - nuclear arms. To the more than 1.5 million casulties of Saddam so far (Iraqis, Iranians, Kuwaitis) will then likely be added millions more. So with Saddam one should think not only of what he has done in the past and what he is doing in the present with the means at his disposal but what he will do in the future when he acquires new more powerful destructive powers.

How about a regime change in Turkey,

First off, zonder, "one at a time." Secondly, I don't know of any ME country that doesn't use torture when they think it will get them info. Third, Saddam is so much further over the line that there is no comparison.

Comparing Saddam's torture record to Turkey's record is defending Saddam. I don't understand how you can defend that bastard and sleep nights.
