Not that it particularly matters, but who's Ted Rall? Does this Ted guy go around bragging about his massive audience of dittoheads, perchance?

You said that the Bush administration called its opposition traitors. I'm still waiting to see your evidence

Don't hold your breath, N.

Win has now unsuccessfully focused on the alleged war-mongerers on this thread. As far as I can tell, there are none.

Interesting to see what happens when someone puts forth his views as objective reality then looks for the evidence to support them instead of the other way around.

Nadine,

The whole situation of using rational diplomatic policy is questionable when applied to non-rational organizations or leaders. Chamberlain had no idea that Hitler and his party were irrational or he would not have pursued his policy.

When we deal with North Korea and Iraq - the very real question becomes - is there anyone rational to work with?

I think this is the essence of situations where we are compelled to pressure and failing to concede to pressure to intervene. The actions of the local leaders in Somalia, Yugosolvia, Rhwanda and Iraq defy rational explanation. The normal argument that a Nation state has a right to live as it sees fit - fails when that freedom is used to extinguish its own citizens, not just when it leaves its own border.
