Cute take on the Saudi flap from NRO.

>>>Saudi Cash: OK, let's see if I have the story straight. In 1998, the wife of the Saudi ambassador to the United States receives a letter from a Jordanian-born woman in San Diego, a woman she has never before heard of, who tells her that she is facing high medical bills. The Saudi princess authorizes a wire transfer of $2,000 a month from her account in Washington to the account of the San Diego woman. Over the next three years, tens of thousands of dollars are transferred from Washington to San Diego, apparently without any questions asked.

Now, by an amazing coincidence, it turns out that the woman who received the money is married to a man who gave money and help to two of the 9/11 hijackers.

All weekend, Saudi spokesmen covered the talk shows, denouncing the possibility that there could be anything suspicious in this connection. And given the long record of Saudi generosity, who can doubt that the princess's story must be true?

For the Palestinians, dead children are a good thing, something they strive to achieve. I sincerely doubt that.

Re For the Palestinians, dead children are a good thing, something they strive to achieve.

I don't have children but parents I know say it is a universally human instinct to protect one's child from harm. Perhaps you believe that Palestinians are not human?

pro-Palestinian headlines that make it sound like the Israelis shoot kids for sport.

So you believe this is all a ploy that Palestinians cooked up to endear themselves to the western public?

Nadine,

For the Palestinians, dead children are a good thing

This is a little over the top as a generalization. I will give you that there are certain fanatical elements that like the publicity associated and might put children in harms way as a result, but that is different from saying this about all Palestinians.

Why can't they use tear gas? While ineffective on prepared protestors or fanatical zealots - it would certainly disperse kids and teenagers.

"The Palestinian tactics are pretty obvious. For the Palestinians, dead children are a good thing, something they strive to achieve."

The sentiments of this woman are no different from the many Palestinians I know here and living in Palestine. Your statement is outrageous and may very well hold true for a small group of fanatics but not for the majority of Palestinian mothers and fathers.
