It is based on fear of world domination by other forces, and the prescription is world domination by the U.S. Brzezinsky calls on the one hand for "global cooperation of democracies", then spends the entirety of the book describing the economic and military chess moves needed to hobble other countries. On the one hand he says:"The collapse of the Soviet Union was the final stage in a progressive fragmentation... The disintegration of the USSR was precipitated by the socioeconomic and political failure of the Soviet system." While the rest of the book, and the policy of both sincere and profiteers alike, is to promote military action, overt and covert. This policy accepts the snowball of self-interested participants eager for trillions in Washington, and diligently ignores the ignition of anger created by terrorist-politicians. Not that it is unknown by the intelligence agencies, who coined the term "blowback", nor by those who profit from such terrorism, here in this country.
