No, but you are supporting causes and people who support support terror

This is a lie. I don't support them nor approve of their actions. In this way you seek to demonize a dissenting view.

I don't know where you are getting this. We have laws here against people who incite riots and civil disturbances and violence, including the KKK. As far as Falwell, or Billy Graham, neither called for a jihad. They both said that we should quit supporting Islam though.

I agree. We probably should get better support from SA, Pakistan, Iran etc..in cracking down on inciteful clergy or wherever this vitriol comes from....I am just not clear on what path the crack down takes in these countries where Islam seems extremely entwined in the culture and what backlash is likely to ensue...

The same goes for the Muslim terrorists, who seem to have the backing of the fundamentalist clerics. And by refusing to condemn and punish the clerics, the Muslim religion has condemned itself to the dustbin of history.

I wish it were so...but it is not i fear. Islam is the fastest growing religion in the world today. Stupid species we are. Hate and even kill each other in the name of the very faiths we use to establih our moralities.

He therefore thought that the German government had genuine grievances and that these needed to be addressed.

Historians have postulated that his stance was strongly motivated by the knowledge that Britain was not ready to fight a war with Germany.

Anyone would know that the art of making a deal is in making both sides believe they are getting a good deal. Clinton and Bakarek were so anxious to make a deal that Afrafat and the terrorists thought they could do better.

Maybe so...he tried and came very close. Had he succeeded, this would be a very different world.

Possibly, however, what makes you think we can continue to live with the current level.

Problem is that those most ready to fight are least likely to do so The innocent people that are caught in the middle are more likely to die in the name of the causes we espouse.

Not at all. Enlighten me.

Most likely outcome in Iraq will be the unleashing of another Islamic nation, much like Afghanistan or even worse. Even Kuwait today is a parliamentary structure dominated by Islamic fervor. We are not popular in that country after 10 years of "democracy".

Obviously you read OSB letter in a different light than I.

OBL unfortunately has managed to represent the views of the common Arab to a greater degree than it should be possible. American and British policy in the ME have made this more possible than it would have been of its own accord. He has to be isolated, fought, hunted down, captured, killed, and his organization diamantled. The remainder of the Arab world must be dealt with through diplomatic means. Humiliating Iraq once more and installing a pro-Western regime there will marginalize Arabs further and drive the west closer to a clash of civilizations. OBL's final dream will have come through.
