Well it is an old issue now. If X was willing to seek a resolution that would be worth struggling over. X does not seem to want to let it go to resolution.

In my mind you have done everything you can do to rectify the situation. Resolve in your own mind that you have done what you could and move on. If that isn't enough it is X's role to state what would be. It is not happening.
