Yes, I agree, I did engage with jla longer than I should have. Guilty as charged.

But I did decide quite a while back to disengage, and kep that up even when he tried his best to provoke me. As a look back at this thread would show, but I don't encourage you to do it because frankly, it's not worth the morass you would have to wade through.

I still don't think the bear example is apt because of the difference between immediate physical engagement with a known enemy who has the potential to hurt you whether you want to be hurt or not, and SI type verbal exchanges with aliases where, paraphrasing Eleanor Roosevelt, no one can hurt you without your consent.
