Thank you for your answer. I did not mean to "stir the pot". I did not realized the point semiconductors and semi equipments are not the best of investments lately is a controversial one in this thread.

I agree that we are nearing the bottom of the cycle. The questions are:
1) Timing (probably over the next 1-2 quarters)
2) Strength of recovery (much less due to lower tech investment budgets)
3) Segment to benefit (semis before semi equipment)

the lower these stocks get taken, the stronger the argument builds for buying - not shorting

That is a very dangerous argument. I suggest you take care with how you apply it.
