No no, you misunderstand, quelle surprise - the thing is to have W declare defeat of US policy toward Cuba, and inquire of el Líder just exactly what is his plan for the rebuilding of the USA .... great fun could be had making up an application form for Fidel's equivalent of the Marshall Plan - we might be open to loaning you Rick Mercer for the job of designing it, pending your offers of appropriate compensation

Cuba-US relations could so have developed better .... you might consider informing yourself of the sequence of events in early 1959 ... and btw, i am duly chastened, reminded that Ike spelled his surname Eisenhower

Short post, got to go .. one thought more -

To be antimilitarist is not to be 'leftie', it has nothing to do with left and right ... neither is it to be 'pacifist' .... it simply means the believer suspects that his species is capable of more than swinging big sticks at neighbours, and that the species might better learn where it is smart to swing, and distinguish those cases from the situations where it is smarter to refrain from swinging
