But in Intermediate work patience is just as important when it comes to managing a plan of gradually building positions to average in on price.

I almost never hit exact bottoms on increments for any of my large positions. AND I've almost always made a lot more money averaging up, vs averaging down. But it's almost impossible to get most traders to do that. The knife catching fiascos on some other SI threads are just amazing to watch.
