That just seems so strange to me. We are defined by what we are willing to do in the face of enticement. What strength is needed to resist non-enticement?

That is a complicated question.

Does a person have a responsibility to protect people? Yes, within that persons sphere of influence and authority.

Does a person have a responsibility to protect people who know there is danger? Yes, within our sphere of influence and authority. I have a responsibility to protect a three year old playing in my living room if there is a fire in the fire place. The three year old has been told that fires can hurt her and understands the potential consequences but I still have some responsibility to establish safe gaurds and maintain a watch on her safety.

Does a person have responsibility to protect people in general who come to a place where they know or should know they will be enticed into inappropriate behaviors? Yes, the person has responsibility for informing and offering safegaurds regarding danger that other people may not be aware of.

The term "To protect" is different than providing safegaurds. The rule of thumb is the reasonable human presumption. Should I do all that a reasonable human could be expected to do to in my circumstances to protect other people from harm who are within my sphere of influence and authority? Yes. Then, if informed people insist on taking unreasonable risks or violating safe limits, am I responsible for harm that comes to them as a result? No.
