"How to deal with the anti- social deviant is an interesting question, but he does not have veto power over everyone else......" Right. The topic I am trying to address is absolutes. This would appear to be a comment on exceptions to principles associated with social responsibility. Let me try another approach. My comment is, I "think" there are absolutes and I "believe" there are absolutes. I mentioned charity and greed. Lets take charity. Empirically there is an absolute idea on what charity is. Yes, there can be various degrees of charity and there can be things made to look like charity that in actuality are not. However, I find self evidence of the idea that makes me know what it is and believe that it is something in the purely empirical form. I can find evidence of its existence in the world to a greater or lesser degree but I can not prove it in the social sense as an absolute (in other words prove that it is an absolute for other people using scientific method alone). I can get confirmation from other people who accept the notion of self evidence but I can also get an argument from other people that there is no such evidence and that I can not prove to them that there is, based on my self evident claims.
