I profile everyone and everything and there is nothing wrong with it. It is as natural as breathing. We need to admit this and then profile with impunity. This is no excuse for harshly playing out our prejudices. It instead means that if some guy comes too close and has characteristics of folks known to be dangerous, we are completely within our rights to closely scan him. Depending upon the context, I would not heavily profile against George Bush, Thomas Sowell or Colin Powell because those fellas are essentially just like me. I would profile against Emminem or Snoop Pappa Jay (or whatever those thugs are called). In the case of the muslims, I profile against them all because there is virtually no such readily available distinction between allegedly "peaceful" muslims and the savages. This does not mean I seek to harm anyone. It means I take extra care not to get on a plane with Arab looking folks, to avoid them where possible so as not to be blown up by them. This is dang life and death here. I got folks depending on me. I can't be foolin' round wid no dang political correctness while dang goofy muslims are blowin' folks up. Dang.
