Well, hello.........of the six articles, only one had anything to do with facts, the rest were his opinions.

You really kind of have this backwards. Limbaugh obviously has opinions like everyone else, and he has a forum where he can express them at will. HOWEVER, it is the liberals who chronically complain that Limbaugh plays loose with the facts, or in liberal parlance, "is a big fat idiot". The reality is that Limbaugh SELDOM slips up. His analysis is cutting, I believe fairly honest, and most importantly -- I've yet to hear a liberal criticism of Limbaugh, other than on an ad hominem basis, that cannot be refuted.

If you want to criticize the guy, I'd think it reasonable to suggest that you listen to his program for a week, then come back here and let everyone know what you found untrue, and to even argue those points you disagree with.

his article had turned into an accounting 101 class........very boring!

You can criticize the article as "boring", but it did a fair job of presenting the facts. Unfortunately, the FACTS about taxes and social security ARE pretty boring, and that's why the vast majority of people haven't a clue. I think his article was totally clear -- almost all taxes are paid by half the people. The subtext is, of course, that this is a grossly unfair arrangement and it would take a whole more "Bush Tax Cuts" to make it approach anything that a reasonable person could conclude is "fair".

From Rush's site

Saddam Beats Blix Hans Down
November 26, 2002

A CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll found that most of the American public thinks that a second resolution for war in Iraq would be necessary if Iraq fails the inspection.
Meanwhile, I see UN Chief Arms Inspector Hans "Cleaseau" Blix on TV - at the United Nations building in New York City! Does he think Saddam hid weapons under that building? If not, why isn't he over there combing the desert instead of having coffee with Kofi Annan?

This is sort of like O.J. looking for the killer on golf courses, isn't it? Here we have the world's greatest hider, Saddam Hussein, and Hans Blix is looking for his weapons at the UN! Remember the day the Iraqis accepted the resolution? The news channels went bonkers. Big deal! The date that matters is December 8th. That's when Saddam Hussein has to come clean about what he has - and he'd better do just that.

I made a prediction to you on that day: Saddam will say he can't possibly catalog everything by that date and ask for more time. They're already doing that, and Blix is inclined to go along as are many Americans according to this poll. Blixie has never found one weapon, so he'll probably give the dictator more time. It's just mind-boggling, this idea of giving Saddam more time to get The Bomb while we futz around at the UN. As far as I'm concerned, if Saddam doesn't come clean on the 8th, it's a material breach, and we send in the tomahawks. Case closed.

Al, I don't know if you've had the opportunity to go to the R. Limbaugh web site

What a gift to humanity he is! I wouldn't waste a nanosecond of my time.
