To all, I'll be in Hartford, CT all next week, America's winter wonderland. Training class stinks. The good news is that they booked my flight late on Thanksgiving weekend, so I'll be sitting in the first cabin all the way out. I hope to be able to drink so much and collect so many little bottles of Chivas and Mr. Daniels that the week will pass in no time. I don't have a drinking problem. I never drink when I have to pay for it. <g> Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to all. I find it very fitting as we elected a bunch of turkeys to Congress this month. <g> O.K., it happens every other November, but the winners seemed especially vile this time around, and this is a non-partisan statement. Here in Texas, the campaigns were extremely dirty and the newspapers did a lousy job in sorting the lies from the truth in tv ads. I guess they don't get their share of the budget if they get too vocal. My branch is having a party while I'm gone. They tell me that isn't the reason for the party, but I am nothing if not paranoid. So far, there has been 4 parties since I've been working here and for one reason or another, I haven't been able to make any of them. How come I'm here for all the audits, but none of the parties? The market is one spicy meatball. The speculative spirit has definitely not been wrung out of the great unwashed. When the real crash hits, it is going to be uglier than Anna Nicole sober. I mean seeing her when I'm sober. <g> I may be able to post while I'm gone. I may not. You never know up there.
