I agree it was a bad example, and we would have avoided all the argument if you had used my UPS deliveryman setting off the bomb example. Except that there there wasn't a duper and a dupee. As soon as you get a duper and a dupee you inevitably have to ask the question at what point should the dupee be dubious and questioning. So no matter what scenario you posit, we will have to examine it to see whether the dupee was truly innocent or should have exercised reasonable caution.
