Teacher Strike Becomes Involuntary Hunger Strike (11/27)
Zimbabwe's striking teachers, amongst the poorest paid in the region, have been barred from leaving Zimbabwe, barred from returning to their schools, and barred from seeking other work. Zimbabwe's President Robert Mugabe has been accused of starving his political opponents into submission, reported Africa Online. Some observers say that teachers are now on that list.
