I agree that a story is pretty boring without antagonists. However, good stories have characters in them that the reader relates to in a good way, as if they would like to be the character or know the character, given the same circumstances.

You said nothing about taking the characters home, and you stated categorically that bad characters were more interesting than good characters. That may be so for you, but not for a lot of people......
