Jeez Chris,

<<Are they important to a Somali child who has never seen the ocean and will die without ever seeing it if his mother can't find the food to keep him alive?>>

Aren't you on an endless belt to nowhere with responses like that?

It is the ole "You can't miss someone when their gone unless you knew them in some way while they were here."

CH the differences are significant. Their are more then one or two differences and they are not tiny.

However major differences between two things may be very unimportant to particular people at particular times.

I think it is useful to differentiate between the degree of difference and the importance of the difference.
