Most chips are currently constructed at line-widths of 180 nanometers, but only several leading chipmakers have begun to produce chips at 130 nanometers. Other chipmakers, Chartered included, are racing to get their manufacturing capabilities to the leading edge.

That's us. Nice leading AMD.

Ted, Re: <So don't undermine my false sense of security and well being with your paranoia about SGMA! <g>>

Sorry. I'm generally paranoid since I bought a large # of shares of MUEI last year(or was it the year before?) the *DAY* before they gave away their computer biz and closed down almost 50%. ( I may be wrong, and I'm not going to go back and look it up, but I think that trade cost me over $5K. )

But I'm also, generally, planning to hold and add to positions through the turn of the month.

(First 5 days of months, in bull markets, tend to be strong. At least, that's the word as I seem to remember it. )
