That expression 'pure laine', it is funny to the hispano, for this reason - lana in americano slang roughly corresponds to 'dough' in the sense of 'cash' ... it means literally 'wool' of course, but to the mexicano especially it is used more to mean money, and with a corrupt sort of connotation to it very easily, as in money not ethically obtained [though not always, depends on context] ... even more so if you say pura lana, this would always have a negative slant pretty much

So, to then see 'pure laine' together with 'l'argent' plus 'le vote ethnique', it's like a great pun they made for us, and they don't even know -g- ... ¡viva el voto étnico! - es nuestra fuerza
