HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

Why do they call it turkey day here in the US?

Because the Cowboys and the Lions always play football on Thanksgiving!

Thanks Terry.

In fact, I had no doubt where we stood and, from what I read, I do know many Americans don't agree with what their government is doing. Indeed, I have an idea that quite a few hang around here.

It's a pity, however, that some people take offence at certain things I say. Dammit, I'm not all bad! In fact, sometimes I think I'm quite nice! As you say, how can we all agree with each other --- all the time? What kind of world would that be? Surely freedom of speech and expression is central to the whole idea of liberty? And that means, whether we like it or not, often having to listen to stuff we don't like. In fact, the whole basis of liberty is to defend the right of the other fellow to say things which one may not like.

>I do not consider you an outsider,

Thank you very much. That is a compliment which I am glad to receive --- and I'm not being sarcastic! But let's face it --- my mind does spend a great deal of its awake time in the US!
