Supplies may have been jacked, but there really was a true shortage of electricity in California. What may have been manufactured, was the natural gas shortage (which most of the power plants in CA use for fuel). Despite the unscheduled shutdowns, power plants in So. Cal. (according to the Air quality district) produced 300% as much electricity as previous years (producing 300% the pollution of previous years). This led to pollution credits adding as much as $250 to the cost per MW from some of the older power plants.

Good honest people stand up and protect America from those who like the terrorist use twisting the legal system as a means of attacking America. PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH is good honest people. The technology retarded just don't ever get it. California energy demand exceeded the energy supply do to the stupidity of those in California. I'd call rolling blackouts an energy crisis.
