Re: So you're not sure if Abu Jajah is a cointelpro gimmick or a Mossad agent? Maybe he is who he says he is. Did you think of that?

Of course, I also thought of that possibility. Actually, that was even my first opinion: Jahjah is indeed a genuine pro-Arab, pro-immigrant activist... and, mind you, I must confess that I fully subscribe to Jahjah's accurate analysis of Europe/Belgium's race relations:

But then, as many "mainstream", moderate immigrant leaders, I was deeply disturbed by Jahjah's "medicine" to improve the Arab immigrants' lot... Anyway, our troublemaker got arrested last night:

The more I mull over the Jahjah affair, the more I think my suspicions about him were right: Jahjah was/is an agent provocateur on Mossad's payroll... An interesting clue was given in an earlier Le Soir article (post #5288): an immigrant MP claimed that the whole Jahjah phenomenon got undue coverage by the Flemish press. So, as you said, there's nothing ironical in the alliance between pro-Israeli Flemish newspapers and the Vlaams Blok agenda: they both hyped up Jahjah and his AEL to turn them into a useful scarecrow in front of Flemish/Belgian public opinion.

Jahjah's gravest deception towards immigrant youth is that he fools them into believing they can criticize the Belgian polity ON A PAR with far-right extremists --AND THAT IS PLAIN WRONG! Jahjah tells the Arab youth, "Hey, Belgian pigs can push you around? Racist Flemings keep abusing you? Dirty cops harass you? --All right: we can do the same! Let's turn the tables: from now on, you TOO can control the cops! You TOO can harass those Flemish SOBs!" Get the picture, Charlie? At the end of the day, the only losers are Arab immigrants themselves....

Another clue pointing to Jahjah as a Judeofascist stooge:

A disagreement over whether Hobeika should be named in the complaint has caused a rift between lawyers acting on the victims' behalf. Lebanese lawyer Chibli Mallat did not want to include Hobeika's name in the official complaint submitted on June 18 and succeeded in removing it. As a result, there are now two legal teams handling the same case, the AEL and Mallat's team. The AEL wanted to include Hobeika's name because of his alleged involvement, but Mallat chose instead to focus on Israel's role and to hold the Israelis responsible for the massacre.

It'll be quite interesting to follow the developments of the Jahjah affair... If, as I claim, Abu Jahjah is indeed a Flemish-Israeli fink/provocateur, then he'll likely get off the hook pretty soon --and resume his counter-subversion job. His arrest will eventually raise him to "martyr" status among his followers (all of them under the age of 28). Of course, I'm still investigating on a possible collusion within the Surete de l'Etat --Belgium's secret service. From (approx.) June 2002 to September 2002, the Surete was left without a Director... The former Surete Director, Mrs Godelieve Timmermans had to resign in the wake of allegedly internecine conflicts (*). Afterwards, the most likely successor, as reported in the Belgian press, was Mr J.-Cl. Leys, a high-profile, French-speaking magistrate who specialized in financial cases. Yet, the government eventually appointed Mr Koen Dassen, Interior Minister's (Flemish) cabinet chief. Hence I'm wondering whether Mr K. Dassen might be some sort of homemade John Deutsch....(**) Besides, the current Prosecutor of Antwerp, Mr Bart van Liesbeth, is himself a former Director of the Surete de l'Etat.

Gus

PS - What's your take on the appointment of H. Kissinger to the chairmanship of the 911 Commission? Isn't it laughable? I bet you our brave Henry will pick Rev Jerry Falwell as his Vice Chairman and former DCI John Deutsch as the Commission's Secretary --LOL....
