You tried to project the image that the Israelis are passive peace-loving folks. You mentioned that a people who had experienced the Holocaust would not want to revisit the horrors of war. Do you honestly believe that? The Jews of the Holocaust were probably passive, peaceful and law-abiding folks. But the post-Holocaust Jews are a different people altogether. To a man they say, "Never again". That is, never again will they let others do that to them again.

How did Israel come into existence? Have you paid any attention to that? Were they just simply given a patch of land in and near where their Biblical forefathers once lived and they just settled in peacefully like good kids?

Of course not! They had to fight and some of them resorted to terrorism. Their acts of terrorism are well-documented. Most of the the early leaders of Israel were notorious terrorists. But the media hardly ever mentioned that. I am sure you can figure out why.

While Israeli politicians and financiers schemed and manipulated things in Europe and America, the Israeli terrorists fought hard to ensure the formation of Israel. There is a suggestion that Britain was so indebted to some Jewish financiers for debts incurred during World War II that it agreed to the formation of Israel.

The Jews were not as passive as you would like others to believe.

Do you honestly believe that after all the heartbreak and hard work to secure the formation of their homeland, the Israelis would settle down passively and peacefully in a hostile environment with folks around them hell bent on their destruction. Come on! How naive can you get!

The Israelis (only the Jews, to be exact) believe in their destiny (their "Chosen-ness"). After the Holocaust experience, they vowed they would do everything possible to ensure that history would not be repeated. Therefore, they adopted a very tough defensive stance. They were always prepared for war. They had to be, under the circumstances. Did you know that Israel captured the vital Golan Heights after much spying and preparation for years?
Does this act tell you they were just waiting for things to happen to them as in pre-Holocaust days? <grin>

Did you know Israel receives $3 billion of aid a year from the US, not to mention contributions from rich "kingmaker" Jews around the world? Is Israel really such a puny thing that constantly deserves pity and support? To be sure, some propagandists with an agenda would like you to believe that. Seems that you have swallowed all of that hook, line and sinker!

We will never know what secret deals were made between the US and Israel and between Israel and some European countries. And of course the media is controlled by certain folks so that news and views are always slanted in favor of certain groups. BTW, I always read or listen to the news with a pinch of salt.

I mentioned that it was suggested that Israel might have provoked some attacks by giving the impression it was weak and vulnerable when in fact it was not. Counter sneakiness, eh? No one knows for sure. It was entirely plausible, don't you think? In war, deception plays a very big role, and no one plays by the rules. Whatever means that will secure victory or advantage, immediate or in the long term, will be employed.
