I will pass on my concern for the next year in tech equipment and that is that intel is the big end user and they have put into place a tremendous amount of capacity. It is not clear to me at all that they will be back in the equipment market at past levels anytime soon. Other end users seem to be having to team to afford the new technologies. Disclosure: Long amat, nvls, klic, klac, dpmi with covered calls outstanding on most of holdings.

RE: "My concern is that even if semiconductors see higher demand soon, it will be a while before it translates to semi equip."

"Higher demand" will come from new advanced products based on new advanced technology. Capacity is short in advanced technology, so "higher demand" will require a quick ramp of advanced production capacity and a quick order increase followed by quick delivery.
