I think the point here is that the only superpower left in the world is unconditionally supporting (big time!) the stronger side in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.

That is not the way to peace. I think both sides have proved by now that they are incapable of reaching a peace agreement. The US should be able to force both sides into it, but it is so biased in its support (not only financial) that it is ineffective and far less than credible as a peace broker.

"The Arabs get more" re aid to Egypt is meaningless in this context.
